Well Nancy's last day before her summer vacation was Thursday and we decided to take a trip to Orlando before the summer heat !  Even though it was just the first week of June, it felt like the middle of August !  Lots of water, grapes, and ice cream helped to keep the heat down.

We gambled that the parks wouldn’t be packed with summer vacationers and it paid off.  On Saturday we went to Epcot and around 12 noon you could count the number of people with in a 200 foot radius on two hands.  This was also true for Disney on Friday.  The longest we waited for a ride was 10 minutes ! 

We stayed once more at the Port Orleans riverside resort. Again the resort wasn’t crowded!  The dining area was peaceful, and the pool wasn’t overflowing from summers.

One of DG’s favorite things from the trip was the pool slide.  Once he got the hang of it, he was sliding down on his own and didn’t want to stop!  It was wonderful to see him explore on his own, but heart breaking seeing him grow up.

Sammy was a real trooper!  The first day he took his morning nap but that was it !  He would fall asleep for 5 minutes here or 5 minutes there.
